Tachograph Calibrations from Argent Equipment

Tachograph equipment is required by law when driving commercial buses and trucks in Ireland, continuously recording information so that drivers abide by EU driver hour regulations. In addition to being fitted, they also need to be inspected every two years and fully calibrated every six years to ensure they're accurate and functioning correctly.

At Argent Equipment, we are certified and approved by the National Standards Association of Ireland (NSAI) to conduct tachograph calibrations. As such, we have three fully qualified members of staff to handle all inspections and repairs.

We're able to provide the following tachograph calibration services:

  • Analogue Calibration

  • Digital Calibration

  • Smart Calibration

  • Fault Finding

Why is Tachograph Calibration Important?

It's vital to get your tachograph calibrated in line with regulations, as this guarantees that the information that it displays and records is accurate. That's not to mention that failure to abide by EU tachograph regulations comes with a maximum fine of €5,000.

Equipment that isn't calibrated properly may display incorrect data, meaning that working time is not monitored as it should be. In addition to the legal aspect, going over the driving hours limit is also a matter of safety.
