Argent Equipment opened a new state of the art, CVRT test centre located within Renault Trucks Ireland Head Quarters in Ballycoolin, Dublin 15 in June 2020.
At Argent we can provide an area for drivers to take their break, as per the tachograph requirements of a 45 minute beak every 4 hours.

Argent Ballycoolin is located between the N2 & N3 and just off the M50 ring road.
We offer while you wait testing or you can drop your vehicle and collect it after.
Early morning or Late evening testing is available on request to facilitate vehicles on route to Ferry ports etc.
Our Afterhours holding compound makes vehicle collection easy.
We also offer pre-test training to fleet operations work shop techs.
This involves a two hour training session at our Test Centre. (T&C apply)
On request we offer a twelve month planner to keep their operator informed of due test dates per vehicle and periodic inspections.
An independent services is a 3 minute walk from the centre if a waiting driver wishes to fuel up.
About Us
For more than twenty years Argent Equipment has been providing vehicle testing at both of our CVRT centres both north and south of Dublin.
Argent Equipment provide HCV (Heavy Commercial Vehicle and LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle) CVRT testing.
The HCV test is for vehicles in excess of 3500k or 3.5tonnes. This is normally a truck sized vehicle fitted with a tachograph and Argent Centre provide tachograph calibration and repairs, weighting & dimension plating and if required speed limiter plaques for vehicles over 12000kgs.
The LCV test is for vehicles with C.V.W up to 3500 kilos or 3.5 tonnes.
Argent Equipment CVRT offer a one hour turnaround on all tests.
We also are Irelands only Distributor of B.M autotecnik testing equipment from brake tester, side slips, wheel play detection, fixed or mobile.
